Pros

I was offered a very good salary. Hiring manager very patient in offering me the position until I got my Illinois RN license restored, which took 2 months. Orientation to this position is excellent with online modules and at-the-shoulder training.

Cons

The recruiter made a major error. She during her initial contact with me in October she told me there was a $15,000 sign on bonus with this position. We discussed this several time over the 2 months as she worked with me to secure this position, and each time she said there was a bonus. When the offer letter came there was no mention of this bonus. I called, texted, and emailed the recruiter so I could get this cleared up. I never heard from her. I was finally contacted by the hospital HR rep who told me that this position did not have a bonus attached because it was not a bedside RN job. Suffice to say, this was very disappointing. I wanted to work in this field, so I did not turn down the job. I just wished the recruiter knew what she was talking about because I was planning to pay off my car loan with this money.
