It is hard to get your opinions or suggestions heard unless you are part of the "in-crowd." Upper management pretends to care about your opinions and request suggestions for change through multiple "anonymous" surveys, but nothing is done once this information has been collected.

Despite some great visionaries, there are several key players that preach a good sermon and 2 minted later those words don't apply to them; managers who are great and several who are defensive with poor communication skills; moreover can't seem to manage or make an "action plan" for the proverbial bad attitude employees that tend to sink a ship. Misappropriation of budgets is laughable- some service-lines buy nice clothes and lunches for their staff while others can't even buy much-needed education materials. We give so much to the community, but one of the floors I staff can't seem to get paper for the printer without raising an eyebrow. I used to love working here, now I just love what I do in an institution that has an okay job environment.
