      There are hospitals all over the city; job stability; reasonable salaries and benefits.

      Cons

      Few opportunities to move up the ladder; health insurance applies exclusively to Memorial Hermann facilities and Memorial Hermann contracted physicians and providers; performance reviews have all but disappeared; no opportunities to negotiate salaries from one year to the next; upper executives and directors get all the perks; not sure how managers are selected. There are some very mediocre managers.

      Pretty buildings in some nice area

      Cons

      Management lack insight, HR paid story tellers, high turnover rate, no respect for nursing profession, health insurance is the worst if you have any family with chronic illness, be prepared to go broke.

      Decent salary, decent benefits, some really good people, strong emphasis placed on caring for patients.

      Cons

      It's healthcare, meaning, 24x7, unrealistic expectations for overtime, and lately, way too much emphasis placed on being number one in the area and not enough on valuing employees.
