Pros

- Culture was great in office - Hired similar personalities so people got along - Great training for SDR's, especially those who are brand new to Sales - Incredible team bonding off-sites created by Culture Club

Cons

-Pay is very low and commission is basically nothing -When going into management, lack of professional development and growth once you're there - Lack of transparency between management and SDR's and even management to other management

Pros

I had an excellent experience at this company. I was given an opportunity to work with and get hired by an awesome client - an opportunity that I certainly would not have had otherwise. My manager was an excellent fit for me. Hands off, but always available to talk. I'd also like to note that both my manager and upper management were very accommodating when I was struggling with mental health issues. This was truly appreciated. There is excellent earning potential for top performers, especially considering the fact that this is likely to be a first job out of college. Lots of fun culture stuff and incentives. Happy hours, booze cruise, company trips, etc. They try really hard to make it a fun place to work.

Cons

Your experience may vary. I was fortunate enough to be placed with two excellent clients and a manager who was a perfect fit for me. My time at memoryBlue would have gone very differently if I had been placed with a manager who wasn't as willing to work with me or if I had been placed with a different client. memoryBlue works with a lot of startups and every SDR, essentially, works for one (or two) of them. Obviously, some startups are better than others, so some people get stuck with duds. I don't know if there is anything to be done about this - my guess is that it is unavoidable and that other, similar, companies are likely to be in the same position. It's just something to be aware of if you're considering joining the company. Note that most employees are coming directly from college and the workplace reflects that. Not necessarily a con, just something to keep in mind if you're a bit older than that. There should really be an "observations and comments" section because, again, this isn't a pro or a con. Just note that I am a straight, white, male and that my experiences reflect that fact.

Pros

MOST of the employees are very supportive - but like *any* place you go, you will have people you don't like. The CoFounders/Management are very open to questions - and they give you honest answers. Great work culture - company outings/emphasis on training/1x quarter happy hours/2x a year all expenses paid trips for the top half of the company (Around 65 people). Incredibly transparent environment regarding financials (the company prides itself on elaborating on its successes *and* its pitfalls) The Cofounders and management have repeatedly requested feedback and seek ways to improve readily.

Cons

It's a sales job so you reap what you sow. If you don't like challenges, you will not like it here. If you can't handle constructive criticism, don't come here. Come here if you are hungry to learn and challenge yourself, as well as help others improve.

We appreciate you taking the time to post your feedback in this forum. It's great to hear how positive your experience has been so far. memoryBlue seeks to create an open culture of communication, so please continue to surface your feedback through the variety of channels available within the firm. Sales is certainly challenging and requires a "game on" mindset. You're correct to point out that it may not be for everyone. But for those that do relish a competitive, rewarding and fun career path, sales holds limitless opportunity.
