Pros

mB is like a bootcamp to learn the fundamentals of sales in a gamified way that makes hard work fun. You will learn about many different industries because of the different clients tech which will help you figure out what type of SaaS you want to sell. MemoryBlue was almost like getting paid to go to graduate school with a concentration in tech sales. If you are driven and want to be successful in sales this is a great opportunity to make yourself stand-out when you’re looking to take the next step. Everyone I met who was determined, and knew about the sales field feels fondly about their experience at MemoryBlue.

Cons

mB is best suited for fresh graduates hungry to get in tech sales. The burn rate can come from folks just looking to get a job with no foresight into where they wanna be in the next year, 5 years. Etc. It is tough work but the business is around shaping young professionals to be able to kill it at outbound prospecting. This is a skill few have truly mastered in sales. You have to go into mB with the right mindset. Obviously your client can determine your destiny but I stand by that you are coached to be able to sell anything.

Pros

This job isn’t for everyone. It’s a school of sales where you learn to pound the dirt & learn the grit/work ethic required to be successful in tech sales. I don’t remember this job being easy, but I remember it being worthwhile. Now that I’m a few years into my career as an AE, I can confidently look back and say I wouldn’t be half the rep I am today without my foundation of knowledge from memoryBlue. The work ethic, the sales techniques, how to take criticism/how to give it, how to have hard conversations. You can’t put a price tag on those soft skills. Oh and they teach you how to be an absolute savage on cold calls - another thing I absolutely couldn’t have put a price tag on but has for sure paid dividends throughout my time in a closing role. All in all, it’s the people that make it worth it. There’s tough days, but it’s the people to your right and left that make the culture what it is today. Again, this job is intense and not for everyone, but sales also isn’t for everyone. You get what you put in at memoryBlue.

Cons

Feeling micromanaged at points. Also, didn’t always feel like there was clear communication about what was going on with my client.

Pros

Best sales training program i have had Incredible team of like minded individuals who are eager to be the best sales people they can be Incredible networking opportunities for all sales roles in many industries but especially for tech companies Incredible growth paths whether its being highered out by your client or working your way up the ranks at memoryBlue (growthpaths are also available much faster than in other companies)

Cons

Only real con is the pay is a bit lower than industry standards, but the experience you get allows you too negotiate higher pay earlier on in your career (also as i mentioned in the pros the growth paths are much quicker so you can work your way up quickly, i was in talks with my boss about being a manager by the 5 month mark) Not really a con but you have to be determined and ready to put in the work. Training is not easy alongside the normal work load but like i said its the best training you can get. But thats temporary and your teamates are always there to help. Collaboration with your team is key and with how fast you can grow you will go from the trainee to the trainer within months. Like all sales roles you have to have a great mindset and a solid amount of grit but going through the ups and downs of sales is much easier when your whole organization is riding the same rollercoaster!
