Pros

As a 1st assistant manager you get decent entry level pay. The training is good for the basic programs and policies. Good people to work with. Plus room to advance if you like to work a lot and are willing to commute or move to work at different stores.

Cons

Lots of hours. Rotating schedule means working every other weekend nights and mornings. Average team member doesn't get paid a lot, so its hard to attract and keep good employees.

Pros

Great people to work with. A great place to gain experience in managing all types of people from kids still in high school, to retired upper management looking to start their day being a morning stocker.

Cons

Management from the general office. The higher you advance within the company the less secure your job is. Hours
