Pros

You receive extra compensation on the weekends when working in the retail store.

Cons

Work ing on the weekends gets to be a drag, Work ing holidays gets to be a drag. When I was working there, they had really really tacky vests for uniforms. Working on the floor is somewhat labor intensive. Employees had to share break room with customers, which was annoying as customers didn't understand that you were on a break and continued to ask you questions. Was very difficult to get time off on weekends. When I put in my 2 weeks notice for leaving, I was demoted and received a pay cut.

Pretty decent pay for Retail, pretty easy to get hired (basically all you have to do is just walk in off of the street)

Cons

HORRIBLE Health Insurance, Non-Existent Sick Pay, MINIMAL Vacation Days, Extremely High Turnover, Company's Main Core Value = Distrust

Pros

When I worked here the managers were very nice, they offered rewards for employees who out-performed and kept their attendance in check. The break areas are clean and roomy. The coworkers were helpful and friendly too.

Cons

Lack of proper training in many areas of the job. As a front-end cashier at Menards, you won't only be "cashiering," you'll also be trained for returns, go-backs, rentals, etc. with all these different areas, I found it very hard to be prepared for every one of the areas, they were a "learn as you work" type of training which didn't match my learning style. No fridges in the break rooms
