Not a Diverse Company

Pros

Good health insurance and a 401k with no company contributions your 1st year.

Cons

The Los Angeles office in particular sorely lacks racial diversity. It's predominantly white people and just about 1 or 2 black people in the whole office. As a black person, I don't feel much inclusion as the entire makeup of the organization is white people.

Short sighted upper-middle management

Pros

Compensation and benefits were fair. Flexible working arrangements, regarding hours and working from home. Talented co-workers.

Cons

Upper-middle management makes short-sighted decisions without any concern of the details of how to implement these decisions or the long-term impact. A more senior co-worker once told me that if they could fire someone to help the budget today, they would without any concern about how to make budget in a year.

Pros

Good health benefits and mass transit benefits

Cons

Expectations to work ridiculous hours due to poor management decisions. Constantly told that if your not moving up you're moving out. Discrimination toward women with children.
