      Pros

      Good training, in particular for graduates. Good name on the CV. Ability to move between departments e.g. benefits and investment. Some very clever people. You will learn a lot in the first couple of years after that much less stimulating.

      Cons

      Career advancement at whim of Senior Management. Struggle with retention of the best people. Pay relatively low. Bonus does not provide adequate incentive. Too slow to react to poor performers. Much depends on the quality if your manager - and there are too many poor ones. Work tends to be very process driven and routine after a while.

      Pros

      learning oppurtunities, the people are easy to get along with. everyone is busy, everyone has there up and down times

      Cons

      seems that everyone is caught up in their own little worlds. noone has a chance to breathe. low training, tedious training. if certain people quit today, there would be a lot of chickens running around with their heads cut off, sort of thing.

      Mercer its a multionational company, that provides you with a very large knowlegde base, and its a good professional school. Because it has different lines of business, you can learn always something new when working with colleagues of different areas in common projects. Mercer is recognized as a leading company for HR services, and that gives you a depth of expertise in your field of work.

      Cons

      Sometimes people are seen as objects and numbers. This is changing, but should be faster.
