Pros

Flexible scheduling with remote access capabilities. Nice suburban location close to multiple interstate highways. High quality cafe located on premises. A great place to learn how to effectively manage multiple clients/personalities. Very strong emphasis on employee training and development.

Cons

Upper management is highly disorganized and borderline dysfunctional. Extremely high turnover rate amongst employees throughout all levels of the Mercer Marketplace line of business. Unmanageable workloads leading to burnout and said high turnover. The environment became very toxic and full of anxiety amongst teams due to lack of communication from upper management. Extremely noisy workspace due to open floor plan which made conference calls with clients extremely difficult and borderline unprofessional. Extremely rigid and ineffective processes in place with no emphasis on improvement.

Pros

Mercer offers competitive pay and a great benefits package. The office is huge and there are good resources for admins both in the office and available through corporate.

Cons

The management often asks the different Lines of business to do events and competitions, however, they don't realize that the Admins really do all the work for all of them. Also, if you get on a bad team, it's very difficult to move within the company. Admins are not promoted from within, regardless of what they tell you.

Pros

Very good benefits, flexible working schedule sometimes, generous time off, holiday parties and summer picnics

Cons

Leadership changes too frequently and are often put in their positions without proper knowledge of how the business runs. Training lacks severely. Too many jobs were sent overseas and jobs in the US eliminated. Leadership eliminates jobs without knowing what their responsibilities are beforehand.
