My experience at Mercer was overshadowed by the ineffective management that created numerous challenges and stifled growth for both the company and its employees. The management team frequently made poor decisions without consulting staff or considering their impact, leading to confusion and frustration. There was a lack of clear direction and support, and communication was often inconsistent and unhelpful. Opportunities for professional development were scarce, and any attempts to introduce new ideas or improvements were quickly shut down. This restrictive environment not only hindered the company's progress but also demoralized the workforce, making it difficult to stay motivated and engaged. Overall, the poor management at Mercer significantly impeded both organizational and individual growth.

Salaries aren't competitive and little opportunity for promotion. Senior management doesn't always value their staff who are doing great work supporting the students and the university. Junior management is expected to take on additional responsibilities with little or no additional compensation.
