      Pros

      Great Benefits Package. Professional Environment, You learn everything you need to know about auto insurance. Intense training, you aren't thrown in blindly.

      Cons

      Micro Managed, raises based on bell curve. Overwhelming, stressful. Inconsistency between employees, underpaid, devalues employees. Expectations are too high with little to no incentives.

      Micromanagement

      Pros

      Most coworkers are hardworking and conscientious, which is why the micromanagement is so incomprehensible. Until recently Mercury gave their adjusters the chance to do a good job on the files. So, they were very capable compared to Farmers and the like.

      Cons

      In order to "be more efficient" Mercury implemented its fourth claims system. The new system is so difficult to work with, everyone is behind. Now, everyone has unlimited overtime just to catch up. And the old claims still need to be worked on the old systems. So much for efficiency. Supposedly a family company. Depends upon your definition of family. There's no real upward mobility.
