Pros

Aggressive growth strategy is working. Strong executive team with a clear and communicated vision that is coming into fruition rapidly. In general takes care of employees especially those deemed exceptional and there are many. Engineering talent is vast and there is constant opportunity to learn or grow through technical challenges.

Cons

Resources always an issue when being faced with so much "opportunity". Significant workload for all but there is a disproportionate balance between those that are aggressive or excited about career advancement and those just coming to "work".

Employee burnout is coming unless we change

Pros

The employees and management are great to work with. Everyone is dedicated to success and highly driven to support each other's (and the company's) goals. The company has been executing the stated strategy well, and acquisitions have been complementary to the existing customer and technology base.

Cons

The work culture is one of 24x7 right now. I see more and more people online over the weekend, and Saturday has become virtually another day at the office based on the volume of emails I see. Travel seems to be the norm as many people are out of the office on a routine basis (and some every week). In most companies there is an expectation of some off-hours work. However, over the past year I have noticed that off-hours work is the norm and almost expected across many teams including teleconferences and video conferences on Saturday and Sunday in some cases. Burnout is coming if management doesn't change (or possibly set) expectations.

We appreciate your thoughtful feedback. Our company culture is one of high performance and sometimes requires off-hours work to maintain the level of success we have achieved. On the whole, we strive for a balance between work and personal time. We understand the important role that family and “slack time” play in our employees’ contentment and in their success – both at work and at home. We also recognize that we have technology at our fingertips that makes it easier to stay connected on the off-hours, which can be good and bad. There may be times when certain projects require some weekend work but this should not be the norm. We will continue look closely at this as a leadership team and ensure we are partnering with our managers and employees to foster that balance.

Pros

The executive leadership is incredible, and the working environment is great.

Cons

The company is evolving, but it could move faster in certain areas to operate more competitively, not to say it's needed but it would be a long-term benefit.
