Pros
It's an attractive campus with good technology. Some good colleagues.
Cons
Basic procedures such as getting paid can be tortuous. It took me months, even after having been a long-term part-time person, to get paid, on more than one occasion. For example, in one job capacity, I had to spend hours walking from office to office on a number of days to get my contractual pay. I believe that I was paid over a month after the money was due to me. Then, another time, my pay was cut by a third during the pandemic after I had offered to help with workload that had been abandoned by someone else. The person who finally told me that the college was not going to pay me was a student worker, who blurted it out, who should not have had to carry that responsibility of telling faculty that the school was intentionally ripping her off. The union did not help. It just created another layer of bureaucracy that did nothing. Before working there, consider what kind of organization is so poorly run that it repeatedly does not pay people on time or pay them the money it has promised them.
