Pros

It's an attractive campus with good technology. Some good colleagues.

Cons

Basic procedures such as getting paid can be tortuous. It took me months, even after having been a long-term part-time person, to get paid, on more than one occasion. For example, in one job capacity, I had to spend hours walking from office to office on a number of days to get my contractual pay. I believe that I was paid over a month after the money was due to me. Then, another time, my pay was cut by a third during the pandemic after I had offered to help with workload that had been abandoned by someone else. The person who finally told me that the college was not going to pay me was a student worker, who blurted it out, who should not have had to carry that responsibility of telling faculty that the school was intentionally ripping her off. The union did not help. It just created another layer of bureaucracy that did nothing. Before working there, consider what kind of organization is so poorly run that it repeatedly does not pay people on time or pay them the money it has promised them.

Pros

Great schedule for a work life balance, great with tuition remission.

Cons

awful management, positions are created to get people out of the union, assist. and assoc. managers are to young and inexperienced for such roles, the title gets to their head, upper management has favorites and make the other staff members feel uncomfortable. non union member's get last pick of vacation days and no overtime is allowed. pay raises are non existent and more and more work is demanded. all they care about is the numbers of enrollment and not the quality of the students being admitted. to much catty nonsense.

Pros

Beautiful Campus, and young motivated professionals

Cons

You will always find an open PACT Counselor position and you may wonder why that is... PACT counselors are severely underpaid and overworked. Staff are expected to work holidays and weekends when it is not needed and does not improve student retention rate. Counselors are not treated as professionals, yet as second class citizens. There is a lot of gossip that goes on within management and staff are treated on a favoritism manner.
