Pros

Campus overlooks Hudson River. The students are friendly. The buildings are neat and clean. I don't really have much else to say regarding the positives of this job, just the beautiful surroundings and clean classrooms.

Cons

They pay some of the lowest wages in higher education. Working there felt exploitative. Much of the faculty is adjunct. They simply give you a canned course from the educational publisher and leave you alone. No sense of professional community or development.

fairly relaxed college environment, good work hours for the most part

Cons

occasional weekend work is required. Dealing with VIPs. scope of responsibilities is too great. nobody stays at this position for more than 1.5 years. The college outsources IT to another company
