Pros

The clients served. I loved the ladies that I worked with, and even though I haven't worked there in over a year, I miss them dearly! They really brightened my days.

Cons

If I could rank Meridian zero stars I would. This is the worst job I have had in my life. I worked full-time as a program manager and it was such a terrible experience. Upper management is cliquey and there is no room for advancement unless you are friends with someone high up in the company. There are maybe 2-3 people in high up positions that actually care about the clients served. There is no work/home life balance. Shady company policies and procedures. They are CARF-certified, but I have watched upper management scramble to make the homes clean and livable in the days before the CARF inspection takes place. As a manager of one of the homes I had to work for 28 hours in two days to clean the house, fix things that upper management refused to fix when previously asked and hang things on the wall (that were never allowed to be purchased before due to the "budget of the house") before a CARF inspector came. Paperwork is faked and forged before these inspections, and all staffed are coached on how to respond to questions asked by the CARF inspector. They would NEVER pass a random, last minute/unexpected inspection. Turnover rate is SO high because they treat employees terribly and like they are expendable. Working with people with disabilities can be challenging and upper managemnt is so unappreciative of the employees that do such a great job. This is truly a terrible place to work. I work a new company that has Residential Housing services and they pay several dollars more per hour, and treat the employees with such respect. There are hardly ever job openings here because of that, but Meridian consistently has 20+ jobs openings at any given time.
