Pros

Salary is competitive. Company promotes volunteerism.

Cons

Case managers are overworked. Case loads are much higher than what supervisors tell you they will be when you're starting out. Due to such a high turnover rate, cases are divided amongst remaining case managers, even if they've only been there for a matter of months. Support is nearly non-existent due to unhelpful supervision, so new hires are left to scramble on their own during crises with clients, while trying to juggle 70+ cases at once. Due to this, it's difficult to maintain active relationships with clients. Supervisors are typically promoted to their role simply because of seniority – not because of any qualifications – so it's a luck-of-the-draw situation for case managers. If you've got a bad supervisor, nothing will be done about it. *Their* supervisors are a world removed from the day-to-day. Like other reviewers have said, employees are not taken care of at Meridian. Benefits are abysmal, PTO trickles in very slowly, and we're not allowed to work from home.
