Pros

I loved the people we served and all of my co-workers even the ones that worked other shifts. Our program manager was a GREAT person to work with and she is very dedicated to her job. Easy to get extra hours if you really need it by training at other houses and my particular house was a relaxed working environment with great team players.

Cons

Company DOES NOT care about their staff. They don’t value good staff and dont show appreciation for the hard work they do. We constantly here what we are doing wrong rather than how great we are actually doing which is why people on come to work for a check. Under paid, no room for advancement, and there are so many cliques in upper management that they discuss other staff’s personal business and it spreads around like wild fire. They rush us to clean the house quickly just to pass inspections and expect us to wear happy faces (faking) to impress those who walk in for tours, licensing etc. Takes them forever to approve requested time off even if given a good month in advance, you cant trade shifts unless “cost effective” yet they’ll use you to pick up shifts that no one wants or that someone called in for. Absolutely no time off for holidays with your family and if you’re scheduled to work a holiday you aren’t even allowed to have the weekend of the holiday off or your facing termination. Basically everything centers around termination so most people walk on eggs shells just to have a job to feed their family. Occurrence policy sucks, and NO ONE in that office gets off their lazy butts to even work a shift in any of the homes and connect with the individuals whom by the way has this hell whole operating from day to day!!!

Rude upper managment quick to tell you what to do and non helpful when you ask for help. All about the money.

Honestly, I really cant think of any.

Cons

The upper management is awful! On one of my shifts, I overheard two of the women at the administrative level laughing about letting someone go and being proud of the fact that they let them go. They are just not nice people. I do understand that the human services field as a whole is hurting for staff, but requiring us to work doubles on the weekends is a bit excessive. Just not a good place to be.
