      Pros

      It is a great company for anyone who likes to work on diverse projects at a fast pace. There is opportunity to have your voice heard and to make a positive impact. The company has a wonderful culture and I work with smart, dedicated people who make it fun to be at work. It is a company that really cares and wants to make a difference.

      Cons

      There could be better planning and communication for launching new things.

      Pros

      Meritage has a comfortable working environment with an overall idea of trying to create change. I believe that we do build the best homes and provide the best product for potential home buyers. Certain department leaders are open and willing to listen to and engage in new ideas to help the company.

      Cons

      Training! There is a fundamental miss in a training platform. Employees, both old and new, are looking for directions on where to get answers. Most things are either learned through tribal knowledge or being assertive enough to ask a million questions (hoping you find the right person to give you the right answer). The turnover rates in particular departments and divisions are a direct result of the lack of structure in the training department.
