Pros

The best part about Mesa is definitely the people…I have made some of the best life-long friendships, met some pretty amazing people, and learned a lot of life lessons. Flight benefits didn’t hurt, either…

Cons

I agree with most that the pay is quite low – however, with that said, every person is well aware of the pay before they ever get hired. Pay and advancement opportunities are something that should be discussed before accepting any job. I no longer work for Mesa Airlines, but I put in my time of almost 10 years there, and while there were things I disagreed with, I disagree the most with people complaining about how bad they have it, but do nothing to try to improve – simply blame management for not listening. I was not in management, but I do know that there is always something you can do. Join the union (or for starters, VOTE), get involved and become an IOE Supervisor, Recruiter, etc. or since you hate it so much, then quit! And if you stay, and think you can’t make a difference, then you can at least change your attitude. You’re only making it worse for yourselves, and for everyone else. You were hired by a (recently bankrupt) regional airline – with regional airline routes, and regional airline pay. And for those of you complaining about the ones who don’t have college degrees – if you have one, then perhaps maybe you should use it?
