CEO is a control freak. Family operated, from the CEO to Management. They will tell you and promise everything...but nothing ever comes around. It's not a good idea unless it's their idea. They make you feel like they own you.

Greedy, cheap owner. Control freak who wants to approve every single purchase - even <$10. Employees must prepay work-related expenses and submit an expense report that moves through ten layers of approvals - 4-8 weeks until you get your cash back. Two weeks vacation - 3 weeks max even after >>10 years. Big promises that are soon forgotten (e.g. large bonuses that never materialized even after record years). And for scientists/engineers - don't expect that the company lets you attend scientific meetings. Some of the senior managers suck - they are constantly in crisis mode, can't retain their employees and should not be allowed to manage anybody. Facilities are sub par. Big new buildings were bought, but only a few employees have a nice work place - many work in sweat-shop conditions.
