Get ready for a company culture of doing more work for the same amount of money. You will be encouraged to work 10-12 hour days. And weekends. And holidays. You will be expected to do the work of people who are paid much better than you. It may seem fun and challenging at first, but you will burn out in the first year. Do not expect a good work/life balance.

Departments aren't given the proper resources to properly maintain/replace bad requipment or purchase any software that might streamline a job.
If a 5 minute task on your mangers part could save you 2 hours of work, you will have to put in those 2 hours.
Employee safety is not a significant enough reason for them to expend extra resources.
