Focus on educational technology, competitive pay, close to several neighboring cities, excellent professional development program, master's pay

Cons

MISD does not always support the retention of loyal, veteran professional educators. Some employees are targeted and systematically demeaned and forced out due to age, race, salary level and contract type. No your rights if you work here.

Great teachers/staff, supportive principals and asst. principals; Now that Dr. Henrie is gone, I think the new superintendent will be a great change.

Cons

Administration is very "good 'ole boy" and stuck in 1990. They refuse to recognize the needs of current students. Insurance rates are expensive and are increased everyday, completely negating any raises.

Pros

Financially sound, employee health clinic, fair pay, great coworkers at times. Working with the kids is a great experience.

Cons

Certain principals are promoted more for how they look or how they brown nose. They take over campuses with an agenda and eliminate anyone who doesn't fit that agenda, regardless of how good of an employee that person is.
