Better pay then most districts in Dallas, pay for learning professional development, and ... that's about it.

Cons

Very unsupportive administration and way too data driven. They care more about STAAR scores than anything else, which results in over testing. STAAR practice every 3 weeks! I feel overworked with no support and no appreciation. And the kids are AWFUL. Terrible behavior and very low academically. I will definitely not be returning next year.

All of the teachers work really hard to support the students and each other.

Cons

The students are rough. We play both roles as parent and teacher. EVERYTHING is based off of test scores. VERY data-driven district. There are times when teachers get reprimanded because of assessment scores. Not a supportive administration and it seems you only stay in the district if you know someone or are related to someone. (Many are related to someone important.)
