Pros

Benefits Co-workers are awesome Stable business

Cons

Do more with less mentality is crushing the workforce and even long term employees are getting fed up and leaving. Zero work/life balance with high workload demands and hardly any appreciation for going above and beyond. Very little opportunity for advancement and pay is not meeting market demands.

Pros

Same start time every day and same 2 days off every week. Compensation is good. There are unexpected perks at times -- gift cards at holidays, generous pay for working holidays, etc.

Cons

Many, many unwritten and confusing policies. Training is good depending on which of the three trainers you get. The unfortunate part is the terminal management is not. It appears that they intentionally omit important information from training so that you frequently have "coachings", which border on abusive and humiliating, when you forget to dot an "i" or cross a "t." There are only 4 trucks that likely can pass a DOT level 1 inspection. Most trucks have 500,000 miles or more and are "safe" barely. Management is rarely onsite although there are 3 managers assigned to the location. Repair requests from pre and post trips go unfulfilled week after week. One great example is if the headlights come on, there is no need to adjust them so you can actually see at night. Worst headlights I have ever tried to use.

Good People Leaving

Pros

Good people leaving. No one should remain with an employer that cannot treat them fairly, and with dignity and respect.

Cons

Regional Transport & Maintenance Managers are the worst. The last two years good managers have been voting with their feet, leaving the organization. JB will praise the under achievers, hire poor managers, and reprimand the good managers.
