Pros

Supportive company. They provide you with many leads if you are a go getter. Great office atmosphere. You run your business they way you want.

Cons

If you're lazy, they'll let you sink. If you fail, it's your own fault. They do charge you for office space.

Pros

MetLife is a good place to start a career as a financial advisor. The company is putting tremendous energy into developing representatives who will succeed. There is plenty of education after hire to help you make it.

Cons

Plenty of theory on how to run and create a book of business for yourself, not enough practical advice.

Pros

There was a lot of flexibility within the job. It gave you room to move around and make your own business.

Cons

There is very little support from upper management. Most of the senior leaders do not care about your well-being, they simply want to meet their numbers.
