Pros

-Great people, who care about their work and the people they work with. -Benefits and flexibility of company in adapting to work life balance and any special family needs that come up is top tier - If you want a guaranteed job for life where you can coast through with average of above average performance, this is the place for you - Sr management accessible if you rise to a certain level - office location in NY cannot be beat, right across from bryant park in midtown with great views

Cons

-culture in US vs. international offices are incredibly different. Intl. offices are better in that they're more competitive, driving harder and moving faster - no explicit culture. little incentive for employees to socialize outside of work and little budget to do so even if there is - little explicit recognition for your work, so little incentive to outperform because only your direct manager will know but broader group may not - slow moving company - inward facing, doesn't look outside at competitors with respect to business or talent management.

Pros

- Stable company - Fortune 50 firm - Industry leader

Cons

- Tough to advance - The work can be mind numbing - Some management hires based on friendship. Certainly not competence. - As an Analyst we don't actually analyze just continually code spreadsheets - The technology is a bit disappointing (slow, old) considering the company

Pros

I used to say the benefits but while they give you a reasonable amount of paid time off, they don't provide enough opportunities to use it. If you want a week off in September you better know that the previous November or else your not getting the time off and even then there may not be enough slots available for you to take that week.

Cons

It is hard to specify pros when the company is slowly removing all the perks. Work life balance no longer exists and if they can outsource your job they will.
