Pros

Met some of the most amazing and talented people at Met. Many of them became like family! They have a great work/life balance with the ability to work from home when needed. However, if you are based in NC I was told that isn't allowed since they have a campus style office.

Cons

Met relocated most of their IT department to NC, forcing many seasoned, talented, and all around great workers to become unemployed. I always pictured myself working at Met till I retired, but unfortunately that didn't happen.

Pros

I used to think the best thing was Snoopy, but now he delivers leads to salaried phone bank agents who taje all the advertising leads and convert them to sales, leaving the agent channel without a critical part of their leads.

Cons

The biggest issue is trying to find one good career agent by burning through hundreds of trainees, most of whom have either left a reasonable job or are fresh out of college, These people put their lives on hold for a year, buttonholing friends and family instead of really growing into a job. Net effect, mgmt finds one agent worth keeping and cultivating further, and either starve out or fire the other 10. What happens to the residuals and renewals and trails, well they go to the house, and then are handed out to the senior agents or kept in the GA income. In any case, they become orphans and never get any attention again
