Ineffective leadership---inconsistent culture---terrible office layout

Pros

The Benefits offered are great. These benefits include medical, dental, life, DI, legal and more. The office location is convenient.

Cons

The workspace is cramped with very little opportunity to think. Your co-workers are inches away, which means each of you always in full view. Unless you are an officer, there is no privacy and no ability to think...even if you manage people. This makes your ability to manage, grow and develop those that report to you almost impossible. There are limited private rooms for conversation and very hard to get due to availability. Booking meeting rooms is impossible. The office layout, the desks, is indicative of employee value. Leadership is fairly inexperienced. This is evident in the slow speed at which decisions are made as well as inconsistent decision making. I am convinced they make decisions without engaging the right people which often makes these decisions illogical and irrelevant.

Pros

The individual I worked for was exemplary in every way. High integrity, appreciative, diligent in follow up for all clients.

Cons

MetLife had no less than 6 managers assigned to have oversight of the individual I worked for over the course of 2 years and 5 months. Support for her was minimal and very frustrating.
