Pros

Schedule, Holidays, Annual Bonus, Not Micro Managed

Cons

Poor workers do not get disciplined. There is zero difference in pay between a poor vs excellent worker.

It's a Job

Pros

Not many pros other than it is a paycheck.

Cons

I would not want to group MetLife as a whole, but the team I am on needs ALOT of work. Employee moral is low. Overworked and underpaid. Managment is not consistent. Long commute to Alpharetta, GA. MetLife claims to have a work-life balance and is the best place for Moms to work -- not true.

Mediocre

Pros

- Fairly supportive supervisor - Interesting subject matter - Low-stress work environment

Cons

- Very low morale permeates the organization; they've gone through a lot of layoffs and the survivors are sort of looking over their shoulders - Corporate culture is a bit 'lord of the flies' and designed to pit contract workers against each to compete for scarce full-time jobs - Little to no camaraderie or intentional team-work - Well below market rate salary/benefits - Some dishonest communication from mid-level managers - Self-service HR system
