Multiple years of being overlooked

Pros

Good training, good benefits, great co-workers, nice onsite gym, free parking, office casual dress everyday, work from home options especially in bad weather.

Cons

As the title of this review indicates, you have to know someone or be buddy buddy with a manager to advance. Multiple years of knowledge, education, experience, loyalty, and hard work will NOT help you! I've watched this go on for years and it's disappointing and exhausting! The pay is well below what other local companies offer and they know it, even had a meeting acknowledging this fact but still have done nothing but lose good employees to other companies. Also good luck on getting approved for time off to escape from the stress and demands of h-ll. Bitter...yes but don't say you were not warned!

Pros

Competitive salary, great benefits, opportunity to work remotely and flexibility in work schedule as may needed from time to time.

Cons

Among the worst IT operations and systems I have ever seen. The company opens bids every year or so to outside vendors to handle IT issues and some of the best IT folks get laid off when a new vendor is assigned. None of the IT 'help' desk associates live in the U.S and while all my encounters with them have found them to be pleasant and really try to resolve issues, they are so often hard to understand due to thick accents. Last year they were all in India and this year, all in some country in South America. I have a background in speech/haring disorders as well as communications, so my 'ears' are a little sharper than most in terms of understanding the spoken word, but it has really been put to the test during the last few years after the company no longer supported IT help staff in the U.S.
