Money isn't everything
Pros
Meta is an amazing company to work for. They have great benefits and amazing perks. They treat their employees very well collectively and offer really good wages, bonus, and stock options. They pride themselves on diversity and authenticity in the work place and offer several options for upward mobility.
Cons
Meta's data centers are run primarily by ex-Navy personnel. Not that this is a bad idea, however, this creates a strong bias to employ people not based on their experience or contribution to the data center environment, but solely on their military experience and "who you know". I witnessed them engaged in nepotism and bias after having several meetings and trainings on important it is to avoid such things. Bottom line...there is too much middle management and not enough focus on real world experience.
