Pros

Most, if not all, people that I have encountered care a lot about the patients and families, and they strive to do their jobs well. The music therapist position falls under the Volunteer and Family Services team, and that team is cohesive, genuinely cares for one another, and hardworking.

Cons

You see some really hard cases -- so many sweet kids in the community impacted by social, emotional, mental, and physical battles. Hard to get things done in the hospital system (i.e. anything related to money, creating new positions, asking for more space, etc).
