Good, but aweful

Pros

Receive pension from RTA. Railroad Retirement pension is good, but you are paying into it. If you are not vested (5 years to), you will loose your 4% you put in. If you are going to retire there and are in with your boss, you will receive promotion and salary increase so you can retire with more money (do not care if you are good at managing people or not).

Cons

HR, Management. You have to be in their circle to be promoted or have to be male and white. If you are different gender or race or color, forget it. You have to work in union to get promotions. HR is a joke. You take issue to them, their reply "This is how we have been doing this, so it stands". Doesn't matter if it is wrong or not. Male ego, all around. Ranking is important, "I am boss, my way or highway". Open to new ideas, but lock up ideas and never try because if we get audited, if someone asks for it. Makeup rules as they go a long.
