      Pros

      We are a teaching hospital with ample learning opportunities. We take care of the underserved. We have a great mission and values. There are tons of employee perks in additional to the wages.

      Politics are present here, just like anywhere else.

      Pros

      Some of the best things about MetroHealth are working with great people connected by a shared mission, and the generous benefits (paid time off, state retirement system, other perks like opportunities to connect with employee interest groups like the Green Team). There are many opportunities for growth. Being on the forefront of addressing social determinants of health is also a plus.

      Cons

      Although one of the smaller hospital systems in the area, MetroHealth is still fairly large when it comes to ensuring that the various departments and processes are coordinated and communicated as we undergo frequent changes.

      Pros

      There are passionate and caring staff. They are nice and always willing to help. Leadership recognizes the good that their staff do, and look for opportunities to acknowledge staff and their hard work.

      Cons

      There are some areas where communication can be improved (among the departments).
