Pros

MetroStar Systems considers internal employees as much a customer as they do the external customers; they work hard to align their internal customers needs and goals with the company's.

Cons

Moving out of small business has growing pains, and sometimes employees out of headquarters feel removed and disconnected

Pros

Having worked at large public companies prior to joining MetroStar, I can say that the culture here is a major pro. There are tons of extracurricular activities which foster an inclusive team/family environment. Senior management directly engages the employees on a regular basis, which is not common at other companies. It is common to work more than 40 hours a week. For me, this is a pro because it speaks to the commitment of the team. I prefer working with a team of over achievers. If you want to punch the clock for 40 hours and do the bare minimum of what is expected, you can certainly do that, but you should expect to be treated/rewarded as an average employee. Those who put in extra effort or go the extra mile are recognized and rewarded appropriately.

Cons

There are many projects available to work on, which is a positive, but this can often make it unclear what the actual career path is for certain positions. You have to actively work with your managers to identify your career path and ensure you're progressing the way you want.
