No work/life balance

Pros

Some people are great. Maybe too dedicated and giving...

Cons

Way.Too.Much.Work.... Absolutely no work/life balance. Working extra hours should come from the employee and not be forced upon. I think they are just greedy and they honestly do not care about their employees. The pay is very low for this area. Many of the projects here are late and very sloppy. This is all because everything is rushed.

Growing Pains

Pros

With a firm grip on the government and civilian space, they also successfully transitioned into a product company with Zoomph. They provided solid training opportunities and promoted a good work/life balance.

Cons

Had some issues transitioning into the commercial space and do not have a particularly loyal attitude toward newer employees. The nature of contractual business dictates that bodies need to fill seats, and anyone is expendable if a contract falls through or isn't renewed.

Inhumane Treatment of Employees

Pros

I have yet to find any.

Cons

The development side of the organization is completely mismanaged. New mid-level managers have been brought in without any auditing from the people they are going to manage. There is a "zero-empathy" mentality directed against workers that hasn't been mitigated by HR. As a result, developers are overworked, struggling against unreasonably-tight deadlines, and there are no processes in place to prevent the compounding of uncontrollable stress.
