      Good Company, Great People, Some Leadership Issues

      Pros

      Competitive Salary, Small Company feel, opportunity to work multiple projects, or onsite for a sponsor.

      Cons

      Leadership based on West Coast (Division 4) is aloof to the needs of the East Coast team, and does not support them. Largely leaves them alone, but does not inform employees of major staff or policy change reasons, resulting in the assumption of the worst.

      Pros

      Full of smart, friendly people. Lots of interesting problems from fun R&D to serious policy problems. Lots of mathematics and programming. Opportunity to make your own business if that interest you.

      Cons

      Small amount of internal politics, but mostly success in job equals improved chances of advancement. Working with government customers can be difficult

      Pros

      Good friendly atmosphere of a small company. Easy communication with management. Offices instead of cubes. Sponsored education. Good health care plan.

      Cons

      Not a place to keep up with the industry and stay current with technology. If you want professional advancement you have to do so outside of work. A major ongoing headache to receive one's investments after termination.
