Terrible upper management

Pros

Get enough experience to work for a honest company.

Cons

New upper management simply lie and want you to trust them. No return of trust. H R dept does not take care of shady issues.

Pros

Great Life/work Balance, fair pay, GREAT hours, and very laid back work environment. I work for a school cafeteria and was blessed to have the opportunity for full time and at a great school off the bat. Not all will have this experience, but the company will work with you if changes need to be made. Make sure you're on time and willing to pitch in and work as a team, you will find this work easy and satisfying. The children are awesome. The job is not strenuous or demanding, so what the starting rate is fair going off that the minimum wage for PA is still, at the time of this posting, 7.25. If you get into the school cafeteria scene through Metz , the hours are great I'm home by 1:45 everyday. Great for moms or if you need to work around a family's schedule.

Cons

Lacks Advancement if you are looking for a manager/sup positions. That was not something I was personally looking for so this "con" isn't really a big deal in my book. Sometimes personalities will clash, but that's not something the company can control unless brought to their attention. They do recommend trying to resolve issues before escalating, but will step in if needed.

Pros

Its a decent paying job depending on the account for management

Cons

I remember being at a management conference and the speaker discussed how "diverse" Metz was. There was at least 200 people present. 6 people of color. I was used directly to get a new account, told I would be assisting at a presentation but it was really myself and a black chef (not even from the are but one they used to go to different accounts.....to appear diverse) being used a black faces to attract the account (large black population, black leadership). No black people in upper management. Only black people in management at accounts in black populated areas.
