      Pros

      Flexibility in terms of coming and going and taking time off. This varies by department though.

      Cons

      Salary is low, just enough to barely get by and not have any savings. They keep taking away benefits, so the health insurance is getting worse and more expensive. People are promoted for the wrong reasons...not for performance.

      Cons

      Depending on the size of the department, it can be difficult to receive raises. Persistentcy is key and reminding management of your contributions.
