Pros

If you work for the right Director and City Department, you will have an incredible experience. Pay is higher than most municipalities, no holidays or weekends, pay increases are steady.

Cons

Change of government officials and administration can bring staff changes. Not all departments create the same work environment for employees. Unless you live in Miami, you will have a lengthy commute.
