      Managing staff and students as well as a procurement operation

      Pros

      State retirement plan, good benefits package, very competitive vacation and sick time accrual, lots of opportunity for personal and job-related growth. The students are always the number one priority.

      Cons

      The culture at Miami can, at times, be from upper management down, and does not always take in consideration the front-line staff of an operation. Additionally, the overwhelming amount of union employees can make it difficult to hire the right person for a job.

      Pros

      Flexible schedule, friendly environment, excellent training, enthusiasm among coworkers and a collaborative culture that makes you enjoy your time at work.

      Cons

      Slower times can be boring, when students are off for the summer the surrounding area is completely empty and dull.
