      Pros

      Good work/life balance for many jobs - you can leave work at work. Free tuition for children of employees. My particular area has a great boss and wonderful coworkers. Unpaid but full hour for lunch.

      Cons

      The only way to advance is to get a new job, which usually means leaving your area and moving to another (no promotions). Multiple years of raise freezes have only recently been lifted. Oxford is an hour away from large cities, meaning long commutes may be required if you do not live in the city. The university has become a "party" school.
