      Pros

      The culture is young, vibrant and energizing. The university offers lots of great resources for the students and staff. One can live a really good life working here. There is an awesome work/life balance and career opportunities.

      Cons

      There are lots of politics. Being a largely liberal university (which there's nothing wrong with) it brings unique challenges to every position the university offers that probably isn't as prominent in comparable private sector positions.

      Lack of flexibility; Lack of feedback/performance review; Poor work environment and conditions; Out-dated technology; Lack of training/mentoring; Dental coverage is only OK; APSA Union cannot help you with management issues until you have been at MSU for a year and are no longer a probationary member of the union
