Pros

- Learn a lot about Newspapers and advertising - Make more money based on how hard you want to work - Can make a LOT of money working just 15 hours a week (some make $1000 ever two weeks.. not bad for a part-time job)

Cons

- Managers are inconsiderate - Low starting compensation

Pros

Working part-time as a teaching assistant at Michigan State is a great job for a college student. The scheduling is fair and constant, and it looks really good on a resume to be a teaching assistant for a college class.

Cons

No real opportunity for advancement. Pay is not amazing, and you're stuck without a job during summer months and school breaks. Sometimes the work can be stressful and frustrating.
