Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience at Micro Center, I agree that we have a great commission model, and our sales associates have the opportunity to unlimited earnings through our commission-based sales model. The average sales associate at the store in Duluth earns 25.55 an hour. Our company culture and great leadership team are the foundation of the success of our associates. A great employee experience translates to a world-class customer experience which is a win for everyone. There are times when the customer can be trying. Our managers constantly receive training and are available to support our associates in the event of poor customer interactions. Micro Center is committed to a positive work experience for our team members. I wish you well in your future endeavors. Greg Nicolai - Regional HR Manager - 513-344-8018

Thank you for the great review and 5 stars! As you know Micro Center's guiding principles, "the Gear", are the foundation to our success. The store in Marietta was opened in 1988 and was the first Micro Center location outside of Columbus. That being said the Marrietaa store continues to grow and serve the community with its world-class customer service. Associates like yourself who embrace our principles of taking care of the customer, merchandise, and culture, are a big reason for our continued success in Marietta, GA. I want to thank you for your commitment to the challenges of being a front-line associate. Best of luck with your new adventure. Greg Nicolai - Regional Human Resources Manager - 513-344-8018

Pros

Biggest pro is the fact that the company seems to genuinely care about the customers. They will go out of their way to make their customers happy. Most of the people you work with are great too and seem to genuinely care about their jobs. Even as high as executive level management, they make time for people and try to grow those around them.

Cons

Some in direct management roles seem to only be there to collect a paycheck. They are stuck in old ways, refuse to adapt their processes for a fast growing field and want the benefits of having power over others, but not the responsibility that comes with it. These same people talk about people behind their back and force a fake smile to the people they speak poorly of. They lie about production challenges, makeup fake deadlines to sit around and play mobile games on their phones and in more extreme cases, fall asleep at their desks. HR leadership is also a complete mess. For a group of people of elder age, they act very childish. They do not mind name calling, and will impede your movement around the office to force you to interact with them. If they feel slighted, they will even deny raises. HR at most other companies are designed for you to feel safe when speaking to them, but here it simply induces dread. Any issue brought up to HR is instead blamed against you and you'll simply have to deal with it. Even the VP of HR will call you a liar to your face when seeking remediation during conflicting instructions given during COVID instead of giving employees the benefit of the doubt and approaching subjects from a neutral position. This exact jaded mentality is why others are leaving reviews referencing the performance of HR in particular. Bad middle management is one thing that can be easily addressed, but poor HR leadership is far too compounding to resolve. These same people that will call you a liar and blame you directly are the same people that will ask why you did not come to them to resolve disputes.

Thank you for sharing your perspective on your time with us and we truly appreciate your service. As far as HR leadership, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and will take them to heart as I'm sure you've also reflected on the situations that you speak of. I'm sorry you decided to resign due to a dispute with your leadership team before they could help you with a resolution. Best of luck to you as you begin another endeavor. Sincerely, Angie Miller VP-HR
