Pros

The Coworkers are definitely the best part. Everyone there is into computers parts in one way or another, so it is easy to relate.

Cons

Management is extremely inconsistent and regularly keep you in the dark. Was consistently lied to and strung along in order to keep me for the Holiday Season. Promotions are based on favoritism from the managers rather than quality of work put in. They will tell you its about "numbers" for a promotion, but hire brand new people from outside the company or promote people from warehouse, where "numbers" don't even matter. Long hours and a lot of work for comparatively dismal pay even with commission. I could write much more, but I do not recommend working for this company.

Love the workers, hate the job

Pros

The workers are the some of the best people I've ever met. The money is pretty decent and you get commission off of the warranty plans that you sell. You can move up to sales associate if a position opens up. They also hire computer technicians from within the store.

Cons

Customers are awful (just like all retail jobs). You have to take down emails of people, and you get talked down to if you don't get their emails down.

Pros

The discount is helpful Training is paid Helping customers can be rewarding The hours are flexible It seems to attract social outliers who get along well

Cons

The pay is dismal They pay minimum wage for overtime: 4$/hr base pay, 1.5 percent commission on first item, 2.5% each additional item, 10% on service plans. Overtime hours are all given during nonselling hours, before the store opens or after it closes, whereby they can just multiply the base pay of $4 by 1.5 coming out to $6 an hour. Additionally 8-10 you are paid on commission despite the store not being open. Same goes for 9-10 closing. Management is rude and lacks human decency. It's technically a sales position but expect to do a LOT of merchandising. General sales puts virtually all the product up on shelves and pegs twice a week. Truck is nearly an all day event, for which you will still be paid based on commission. A lot of time is spent doing hourly type work for a commission based wage.
