Pros

Decent hourly wage, 10% commission on all protection plans provided to customers. Hour long lunch on weekdays (45 minutes on weekends).

Cons

I unfortunately started during the busiest time of year and because of my own mistakes I did not last very long.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience at Micro Center. Our Customer Service Representatives do a great job handling the amount of customers that shop in our stores on a regular basis. They are very knowledgeable about all the products that we sell and are able to ensure that the items have the proper protection in case of any unforeseen issues that arise. As a result, they have the ability to earn additional compensation for their efforts. I am sorry that it did not work out but wish you the best in your future endeavors. Thanks, Greg Nicolai - Regional Human Resources manager - 513-344-8018

Pros

- Ok pay for the field - Decent discounts depending on what you want -Flexible hours for college students

Cons

(Some of this is store dependent) - It's a customer facing job, so you might get rude people and annoying Karens - My specific management was good until they changed positions and got new ones in. -I also worked in the warehouse towards the end of my employment, it sucked and made me want to leave that much quicker. - Not really any discounts for PC builds - The warranty system is kind of a scam, depending on what you buy - Sales associates are sharks sometimes

Your opinion counts and we thank you for sharing. As you stated our retail store positions are mostly customer facing. We hire special people to be our associates and have a variety of positions in hopes that an associate can find the position that best fits their needs. We train our associates at hire, and we have regular monthly, and annual trainings. We look at our staffing models regularly and hire based on our customer traffic to ensure customer satisfaction. We wish all the best in your future endeavors. Regards, Leslie Whitley Regional HR.
