Pros

Pros: •Great Coworkers •Decent Benefits (CompTIA compensation, school reimbursement, co-pay on dental, medical, health insurance.) •Pay (also a con)

Cons

Cons: •Zero Flexibility (no part-time even though management offered that we were able to do that once school began) •Awful On-boarding process •Management expectations are unrealistic and their values contradict each other •Pay (because it is a commission based structure pay is based on how efficient you manage your time) •PTO is only useable after 6 months along with most benefits •Forced to meet a variety of quotas such as selling security solutions. (You will be coached about it if you don’t meet minimum requirements) •Constant petty backlash from managers through emails •HR? (not very helpful)

Pros

Flexible hours, friendly coworkers, employee discount, health coverage available.

Cons

On your feet all day.Everything here is commissioned based. The more you sell, the more you make. The more extended warranties you sell, the more you make. The more e-mail addresses you get, the more you make. Good people are working here but there is a lot of pressure to increase the numbers. The bottom line is it is a numbers game. An extended warranty sale is a must. The store is kept open by the -- way past the closing time to get that one last sale.

Pros

Co workers are great and seem more moral than managers. Merchandise is awesome. You can make money if you work three times harder than you have to.

Cons

During closed hours, before opening/after closing the store you will be paid $4/HR doing physical work and being pressured to finish it sometimes by yourself during the day. Tasks, truck, changes and more tasks by management will prevent you from selling the way you'd like to. No seance of teamwork. No sense of holding someone accountable for being absent, not doing a task and leaving it to the next coworker, etc.

Hi - Thank you for your service to the Company and our customers. It sounds like we have work to do as a management team in your store. Please call me 614-850-3151 or email me ajmiller@microcenter.com so I can better understand your thoughts. I will also be in your store during the week of March 7 so if that works better, I can speak with you then. Thanks, Angie Miller VP-HR
