Pros

Caring people work here. There are some bad seeds but what company doesnt have them. Great health plan and other benefits. Most managers back up the employees.

Cons

Not all managers are on the same page and hard to get support from them. Several employees forgot the word "team" work and dont help out. The computer system for a computer store is out dated.

Pros

Pay for an hourly employee is above minimum wage. Unlike Best Buy, the sales people really know their stuff and are paid commission.

Cons

Management is terrible and only cares about sales numbers. No one but sales people are recognized for the work they do. Managers see them as replaceable.

Pros

Fellow employees all have a passion for technology, chances are that if you are applying here for entry-level positions you will have a lot in common with coworkers. Benefits packages are OK if you are hear long enough to become eligible for them. Employee purchasing is easy and a great value. This is a great job for someone currently in high school or college looking to make some money for the weekends.

Cons

Horrid pay, negotiation will cost you the job offer. Archaic POS system and software. They essentially use DOS screens to make purchases and navigate through their customer database. Terribly disappointing for a technology distributor. Training programs are incredibly dated. Management focuses too much on name and email capture, to their point where it turns customers away. Any benefits or opportunities are based on your ability to capture customers' names and emails. The managers all think incredibly highly of themselves, and it shows. This gives a terrible impression to their new and current employees and causes issues with morale. Additionally, despite their own opinions of themselves they tend to panic when things get busy, either trying to do too much and ending up doing nothing, or just disappearing altogether until things slow back down. Essentially, they are only really useful for scheduling and manager overrides, the store could run by itself without them. High employee turnover due to poor pay.
